Video: Lack of understanding cause of beefs – Quamina MP

November 12, 2022
Reading Time: 2 mins read

Rapper Quamina MP believes that there is growing beefs in the music industry because musicians don’t understand each other.

According to him, if artistes were to understand each other, there won’t be any beef in the industry.

For some time now, several artistes have been at each other’s throats throwing shots through diss songs.

During this lockdown period alone, Sarkodie, Sista Afia, Freda Rhymes among others have all released songs or posted messages to jab their colleagues.

Speaking in a special edition of TV3 New Day dedicated to health workers and hosted by medical practitioners, Quamina MP was asked for his take on beefs in the music industry.

Asked if he was aware of the simmering beefs between rappers Strongman and Kwaku Smoke, the ‘Wiase Y3 D3’ hit rapper said he was unaware of that.

He, however, admitted that he was aware of the beef between rapper Sarkodie and dancehall act, Shatta Wale.

Sharing his view on the growing beefs, Quamina MP said “I feel like if we are able to understand each other in any way things like this wouldn’t bring problems.”

The Coronavirus pandemic, just as has affected economies, businesses and individuals, has equally had a toll on the young rapper’s career.

After releasing a monster tune like ‘Amanfuor Girls’ last year, Quamina MP was hoping to cash in big this year but unfortunately, the pandemic has halted things.

“I am so sad. It feels very bad. End of last year, my song became very big so I was expecting to really cash in this year but Corona come spoil everything. We actually had people calling us for a lot of shows. It was supposed to be a very good year,” he lamented.

Quamina MP applauded musicians who have taken initiatives, through social media, to keep their fans entertained during these trying times. “It helps us clear our heads…,” he said.

who would your most humble servant be?

At a time when power is flaunted more than it is earned, we rise with a different call: #TumiNniSuban—Power without character is nothing. We are done with leaders who wear authority like a costume but lack the soul to serve. Leadership must reflect the people’s dignity, not diminish it. So we ask If elections were held today, who would your most humble servant be?
