“Little drops of water make a mighty ocean” happens to be one of my favorite sayings of all time for many reasons. Firstly, it encourages me not to despise my little efforts. Secondly, it gives me hope that as long as I keep doing the right things everyday, I am heading for a pleasant place in the future.
Another interesting observation about little drops of water is that, by its sheer persistence, it’s able to create a dent in the hardest stone. That’s the power of persistent efforts!
Someone put it this way: “Persistence is what makes the impossible possible, the unlikely likely, and the indefinite definite.”
Expectation of instant results is often a recipe for disillusionment. But if we trust the process and keep going a day at a time, we will eventually arrive at that glorious end.
“Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.” (Galatians 6:9)
