Former presidential candidate of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Sylvester Mensah, has thrown his weight behind the incumbent National Chairman of the party, Samuel Ofosu Ampofo for re-election.
Mr Ofosu Ampofo is a facing a keen contest from the party’s General Secretary, Johnson Asiedu Nketiah.
Commending Mr. Asiedu Nketiah’s role in the party, Sylvester Mensah however remarked, “I have my thumbs up for Chairman Ampofo for the organizational prowess and calm but firm disposition he brings to the party’s leadership”.
He therefore declared on twitter, “Join me to rally support and votes for Chairman Ofosu Ampofo to be retained!”
Over 9000 delegates will on Saturday, December 17, 2022 converge at the Accra sports stadium to elect new executives to spearhead the affairs of the NDC at the national level and hope to lead the party to victory in the 2024 general elections.
