Scores of passengers got stranded for hours on Wednesday morning after a multiple accident on the Juaso section of the Accra-Kumasi highway involving a trailer truck, Metro Mass Transit and VIP buses.
A woman, on the Metro Mass Transit bus facing Accra with registration number GN 5163-22, sustained minor injuries and was sent to the Juaso Government Hospital for treatment, Yaw Preko reports.
The Metro Mass bus driver, while trying to avoid running into a car ahead of him full of holidaymakers who were allegedly being careless on the road, rather ended up in a head-on collision with the truck with registration number GT 2586-H that had abruptly stopped in the middle of the road.
The VIP bus with registration number GS 8191-12 that was following the Metro Mass bus closely also rammed into the back due to the slippery nature of the road before veering off into the nearby bush.
