Flagbearer of the Peoples’ National Convention, Dr. Edward Nasigre Mahama, says he will accept a ministerial appointment from Nana Akufo-Addo if he is offered one.
Speaking with Johnnie Hughes on 3FM’s Late Edition programme, Dr. Mahama says he just needs an opportunity to serve Ghana.
According to him, “if he (Akufo-Addo) decides that there’s an area that I could be productive for the country, yes. Why not?”
He added that “I have a job, but I have always said that I will put God and country first, my neighbor second and myself third. Nana is my neighbor and so if he needs my help why not? I will be glad to offer that service”.
He commended President Akufo-Addo for the caliber of persons he has presented so far as his ministerial nominees.
“Most of the people Nana appointed are doers and not talkers, and I know they will perform, having worked with most of them. If you are a Ghanaian who has the well being of Ghana at heart, then you should be excited about the appointees,” he emphasized.
