Police records suggest that about 158 various forms of robbery were recorded in the Greater Accra region in January this year. There have been daily reports of robbery in the capital since Monday, claiming at least one life. Former President Rawlings who ruled Ghana for almost two decades believes the security agencies “owe” Ghanaians the responsibility of keeping the nation safe and secure. Mr. Rawlings however prayed the recent robbery incidents have no political undertone. “Let us hope the recent robbery and killings is downright plain robbery and not a politically motivated action from within or without, calculated to undermine those in charge of the security machinery in order to pave the way for certain parochial ambitions.” Read also: Two arrested in Accra with G3 riffle, 2 pistols, cash, others [Photos] Source: 3news.com | Ghana]]>
