A Deputy Chief of Staff at the Office of President Akufo-Addo, Francis Asenso-Boakye, has played host to the Kumasi Girls Senior High School basketball team, which emerged winners of the national Sprite Basketball Championship.
In a statement on his meeting with the ‘winning girls,’ Mr. Asenso-Boakye, a seasoned politician expressed delight in knowing that young girls from the Bantams Constituency were actively engaged in sports.
According to him, sport “has tremendous potential to accelerate our (Ghana’s) socio-economic development.”
He added that sports must be a critical component of our educational system and promoted in all settings.
