The Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, has destooled the chief of Antoa, Nana Kwame Owusu Agyeman.
His destoolment, on Monday, May 29, follows a violation of customs and traditions among other offenses.
The Antoa Chief is believed to have selected his nephew as his successor which contravenes the traditions of the people.
Nana Kwame Owusu Agyeman, who has held his chieftaincy position for over 20 years, was also accused of multiple sale of lands.
When confronted by his subjects, Nana Kwame Owusu Agyeman refused to hear them out and dismissed their objections.
He was thus reported to the Asantehene who sat on his case to deliver judgement.
Otumfuo Osei Tutu II thus ruled that the actions of the Antoa Chief contravenes the customs and traditions and also poses a threat to the welfare of the people.
Nana Kwame Owusu Agyeman was therefore destooled.
