Ghana’s coronavirus death toll has been put at 44 as at June 6 after two more persons were reported dead in less than 24 hours after Friday’s update.
However, 358 recoveries were recorded, bringing the national total recovered figure to 3,547, the Ghana Health Service reported on Saturday.
The cumulative case count since Thursday, March 12, when the first two index cases were recorded, is now 9,462 with 5,871 active cases.
Greater Accra is the region with the highest recorded cases of 6, 282 followed by the Ashanti Region with 1,645 cases. The Ahafo region is the only region yet to record a case.
