Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia joined the police hierarchy, relatives and friends on Saturday March 3, 2018 as they mourn ASP Emmanuel Ashilevi who was killed in line of duty in January.
A funeral service was held for the late senior police officer who was promoted posthumously at the Atomic Hospital park, near the Kwabenya police station in Accra.
In attendance was the Inspector General of Police, David Asante-Apeatu, COP Kofi Boakye among other top police officers.
The Vice President announced huge compensation package for police personnel who either lost their lives or got fatally injured in the line of duty just like Chief Inspector Ashilevi.
