The flagbearer of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, has constituted a team that will work on the party’s manifesto.
The committee, according to a statement signed by Dennis Miracles Aboagye, Director of Communications for Dr. Bawumia’s campaign, would be chaired by former Majority Leader in Parliament Osei Kyei-Mensah-Bonsu with former Information Minister Kojo Oppong Nkrumah as the deputy.
The committee would be responsible for undertaking a holistic review of the party’s previous manifestos from the 2016 and 2020 elections and engaging all relevant stakeholders to come up with a pragmatic 2024 manifesto.
“The Manifesto Committee is further charged to discharge their mandate efficiently and professionally to produce a comprehensive manifesto document that can stand the test of time to address the legitimate concerns and socio-economic challenges of Ghanaians,” the statement said.
