About four people have been killed in fresh attacks in the Upper East Regional city of Bawku on Saturday.
At least 12 persons have been killed gruesomely in the municipality since December 17, 2022.
The Saturday, December 24 shootings occurred at a suburb widely believed to be inhabited by people who do not belong to any of the factions involved in the chieftaincy dispute,.
Accra-based Joy FM also reports that at least 2 more persons have also been critically wounded and are receiving treatment in the hospital.
According to Joy FM, multiple sources have confirmed the incident to them but the police are unwilling to give further information.
Bawku divisional police commander, Chief Superintendent Adamu Seidu told the station that he could confirm some killings but refused to give a number and declined to comment any further.
Many, especially civil servants, have fled the town as a result of conflict with companies including banks closing their outlets there.
