The donation is in response to an appeal by FOHGSHS for financial and material supports to ensure a successful camping. Speaking at a brief presentation ceremony in Accra, the National President of GUNSA, Mr. Kwashie Klu-Duvor said the gesture was the association’s widow’s mite to aid a successful holding of the week-long camping intended to build the capacity of the girl-child. “Most female students in the Girls Senior High Schools belong to GUNSA and we therefore felt compelled to support your attempt at adding to the numerous efforts by government and other stakeholders to ensure a better future for our female students”, he said. The National Secretary of FOHGSHS, Mrs. Joyce Acolatse who received the donation commended GUNSA the gesture. “In our schools we know the good work GUNSA is doing, trying to educate our students about local and international issues and you deserve commendations”, said Mrs. Acolatse who is also the Headmistress of Accra Girls Senior High School. The Forum of Heads of Girls’ Senior High Schools is an organization that champions the empowerment of the girl-child. It is made up of Heads of all female Senior High Schools in the country.
