Hundreds of residents in the Jomoro Constituency of the Western Region trooped to the annual health walk which is organized by the West FM in Elubo in collaboration with Charger Limited, manufacturers of Black Legend Coffee Gin.
The walk is an annual event which seek to bring togetherness, good healthy living and to promote unity among the residents.
It also forms part of the socialization of the people.
Last Friday’s event was the 10th edition and it brought together hundreds of residents including a Kumawood Actor, Akwasi Boadi, aka Akrobeto.
The walk started from the forecourt of West FM and ended at Elubo Town Park.
Despite closing very late from Parliament on Thursday, August 3 as it was the last day to recess, the Member of Parliament for Jomoro Constituency, Dorcas Affo-Toffey, did not want to miss the 10th edition, and therefore drove through the night to join her constituents for such a memorable occasion in the early hours of Friday.
There were aerobics and talks at the end of the walk to sensitize the residents on the need to keep themselves healthy and the need to socialize.
Madam Dorcas Affo-Toffey told the crowd that alcohol is meant for those who are above 18 years and even then, such people should drink responsibly to avert any social vices.
She advised the youth on the need to keep themselves healthy since health is wealth.
