Former Ghana international and Black Stars scout Ibrahim Tanko says he has given Coach Avram Grant all he needs to enable the Black Stars beat Cameroon when the two nations face off in Thursday’s semi final clash. Tanko, since June 2013, was an assistant to German Volker Finke at the helm of the Indomitable Lions and also guided the team to the 2014 World Cup in Germany. The last time these two sides met was at the Africa Cup of Nations in 2008 hosted in Ghana but the Black Stars were 1-0 losers on the day. Speaking on Metro TV’s 2017 AFCON Diaries series, Ibrahim Tanko predicted a tough game but stated he has done what he had to do to make the work of the coach simple . “As a scout, I did what I had to do and I have given it to the coach and hopefully at the end of the game we are going to play in the finals. “I think we should expect a very tough game because these are two great football countries with football history but from what I saw we have a lot of quality as compared to them and I think at the end of the day we are going to be in the final but our boys have to know that it’s not going to be easy. “Looking at the game against Senegal, you could see that they all come back to defend and when they have the ball they use their number 13 Bassogog on the right and if we are able to take him out of the game, then we will come out victorious”.
