Samuel Owusu popularly known as Yung King Cleff was on Accra’s hottest drive time show, 3FM Drive with Giovani Caleb on Friday 24th May, 2019 to share his experience barely a year after being crowned the most talented kid in Ghana. Yung King Cleff touched on challenges of being a musician in Ghana, considering the fact that it is difficult to get big names to feature on songs, financial challenges and a whole lot more. The youngster who won TV3’s Talented Kids in 2018, however said he is enjoying contracts from big brands based in Ghana by way of featuring in their ads. The young chap opened up on he getting some good cash from these gigs. “Getting the opportunity to perform on platforms with some big names in the industry, is one of the few things that keeps me going,” he added. Tackling the of issue of blending school with showbiz, the 11-year-old Samuel described it as “quite easy and fun”. He explained that he mostly engages in rap competitions in school every Friday and that alone has helped him build on his skills. “Even though I get lots of my friends in school telling me to rap for them, I have come to understand its part of the industry and I’m to entertain my fans.” The artiste used the opportunity to premiere his new single “Baba”, a song brewed to address the challenges he is facing as an artiste in Ghana.
