A 41 year old woman has been killed at Alavanyo Deme in the Volta region, late Monday afternoon. Report reaching 3news.com indicates that the deceased, Rejoice Attayaw, was returning from the farm when assailants opened fire killing her instantly. It is unclear what triggered the attack. The Alavanyo and Nkonya communities in the Volta region have been embroiled in a century long dispute as several efforts to broker peace between them have been thwarted by isolated murder cases at both sides.
