The National Democratic Congress (NDC) Chairman for Greater Accra Region claims some unnamed assailants have been trailing and plotting to kill him.
According to Emmanuel Nii Ashie Moore, the latest of such attacks on his life was Sunday, February 26, 2023.
“Yesterday was the third attempt to assassinate me after our NDC GAR Regional elections,” he shared his experience on Facebook.
He did not mention where the attacks took place, but said he has been elusive because of where he sleeps.
“Thank God I changed my sleeping location again,” he noted.
He quoted Romans 8:38-39 to emphasise his confidence in the protective hand of God:
“For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor rulers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
The Regional Chairman shared pictures of what appeared to be vandalised rooms of papers, office equipment, clothes and personal belongs.
Mr. Ashie Moore took many by surprise when he shoved aside the two-time NDC Regional Chairman Joseph Ade Coker in the opposition party’s regional executives elections in 2022.
The former Member of Parliament for the Adentan constituency polled 327 votes to topple incumbent Chairman Ade Coker who polled 222 votes in the election held at the Tema Sports Stadium.
