Amissah-Arthur was the vice president under John Mahama between August 2012 and January 2017[/caption] The family of the late Vice president Paa Kwesi Bekoe Amissah-Arthur say they have not designed any special cloth embossed with the image of the former vice president for his funeral. Mr. Amissah-Arthur whose sudden demise occurred at the 37 Military Hospital on June 28 after he collapsed at the Air Force Gym would be buried on July 27, 2018. Like it was done when president Atta Mills died, some Ghanaians were anticipating a cloth for the late vice president’s funeral. But the family of Mr. Amissah-Arthur said they are not interested in printing any special cloth for the funeral, thus distancing themselves from the printed cloth with his image. They are also not expecting the general public to be in that cloth because its goes contrary to the values he stood for whilst alive. “We wish to point out that we are not behind the printing of this specially designed cloth. We are also not expecting the general public to mourn with us in that particular cloth nor in any other specially designed funeral cloth,” the family said. The Vice President until his sudden death, they said, was a simple and elegant person who found it more profitable to invest in good causes such as education of children no matter how little it is. The family of the late Vice President therefore cautioned the general public to be wary of any designed cloth out in the market for the funeral. They however stated that the prescribed cloth for the funeral is anything black. By Abena Amoanimah Agyei | 3news.com |Ghana]]>
