Members of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) from the Central Region, holding government appointments, have been warned against taking advantage of their appointments to miss party meetings. Mr. Robert Kutin Jnr, chairman of the Central Regional branch of the governing NPP who gave the warning was emphatic that the regional executives will not tolerate absenteeism, henceforth, from government appointees. The regional chairman said when addressed party functionaries including district chief executives, Members of Parliament and government appointees at the Regional Coordinating Council in Cape Coast on the theme, “The Power of Thankfulness”. Speaking to 3news.com’s Central regional correspondent Kwame Kakraba, Mr. Kutin Jnr urged all party members to do their best to honour invitations from the party. “Nobody is bigger than the New Patriotic Party in Central Region, stop saying my party is in power so I will not attend party meetings”, the chairman warned. He admitted that 2020 general elections will not be easy for the party in the Central region and therefore urged them to work hard to protect and add more to the 19 parliamentary seats.
