Pentecost University has been adjudged the best University in upholding Christian values at the 2022 National Conference and Awards ceremony organised by the National Clergy Association of Ghana (NACAG).
According to the Executive Director of NCAG, Rev. Dr. Charles Abban, who handed over an award plaque, Pentecost University was adjudged the best after a thorough selection process.
Dr. Abban commended the University for upholding sound Christian values and offering highly advanced academic experience at the time morality is constantly challenged. A citation that was given to the University in this regard partly reads, “recognition for promotion of best religious values. “
The Head of Department of Ministerial Formation at Pentecost University, Apostle Dr. Christian Tsekpoe, who received the award on behalf of the Vice-Chancellor, thanked the National Clergy Association of Ghana for the honour. He also read a speech on behalf of the VC part of which said the University will continue to equip its students and community with sound Christian values.
Speaking to PENTECOST NEWS on the sidelines, the VC, Prof. Agyapong-Kodua, thanked God for the recognition. He said “given that God’s University A+ agenda is hinged on ethics and skills, it is gratifying that the National Clergy Association of Ghana has observed the efforts the University is making in promoting ethics.” He added that PU would continue to enhance this and strike the right balance between ethics and skills.
Also at the ceremony, individuals who received awards included the Inspector General of Police, Dr. Charles A. Dampare and Dr. Sampson K. Boafo, the Honourable Minister of Chieftaincy and Religious Affairs.
The Best University of Religious Values award by the National Clergy Association is the latest high-level award received by Pentecost University in 2022 after the University received the Africa International Award of Merit in August this year.
