The Ghana Police Service (GPS) has interdicted an officer who dragged a suspect on the floor during an arrest.
This was announced by the Service who have currently launched an investigation to unravel what transpired.
The probe and subsequent interdiction follows the emergence of a video which captured the said officer dragging a suspect on the floor.
According to a statement from the police, the Inspector General of Police, Dr. George Akuffo Dampare has reached out to the family of the victim.
While assuring the family of an impartial investigation, IGP Dampare has further sent a team from the Ashanti North Regional Police Command to engage with the victim’s family.
