At least one of the senior police officers is a Commissioner of Police (COP). They are said to have been in close contact with some alleged coup plotters currently standing trial. Snippets of information gathered by 3news.com suggest that experts have examined the phones and other communication gadgets of the plotters – Dr Yao Mac-Palm, leader of the group, together with Donya Kafui, alias Ezor, a blacksmith, and Bright Allan Debrah Ofosu, a freight manager, – after their arrest, triggering investigations of the senior police officers.
