Black Stars forward Richmond Boakye Yiadom has won the Serbia Best Player award for 2017 representing his incredible performance in 2017. The accolade is recognition of the major part the Ghanaian played in Red Star’s relentless pursuit in all competitions. The in-form striker was also voted Red Star Belgrade’s best player for the year after playing 44 games and scoring 38 goals for his former side and was also recognised as the club’s most prolific foreign-born player of all-time. The 24-year old striker became the top foreign scorer in the 72-year history of the club. The voting was done by journalists and captains of the 16 clubs in the Serbian top flight league.
