The Greater Accra Regional Youth Wing of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) under the leadership of the regional youth organizer, Amos Blessing Amorse, on Wednesday, February 21 inaugurated its Working Committee in preparation towards the crucial election 2024.
The inauguration ceremony which took place at the GNAT Hall in Accra under the theme “Building The Ghana We Want: A Clarion Call To Service”, brought together party officials at all levels and key stakeholders of the youth front in the NDC.
Announcing the members on the various Committees, Comrade Amos Blessing Amorse stressed on the need for this Working Committee, adding that the selection process of members onto the committees passed through the strict and rigorous test which received endorsement from the Regional Youth Wing.
The Greater Accra Youth Working Committee is chaired by the Ningo Prampram Member of Parliament, Sam George with a businessman and entrepreneur who was a 2023 parliamentary candidate aspirant on the ticket of the NDC in Dome-Kwabenya, Israel Susuli as the vice chairman.
In his address on behalf of the newly sworn-in Working Committee, Mr. Susuli expressed the members’ appreciation to the Regional Youth Wing for the confidence reposed in them, while acknowledging the enormity of the task ahead for the group.
He expressed their readiness to deliver on their mandate and called on all to support the Committee to work to bring the party back to power.
The ceremony was chaired by the NDC regional secretary, Theophilus Tetteh Chaie flanked by other regional executives of the party.
The General Secretary, Fifi Kwetey, National Youth Organizer, George Opare Addo are some of the party officials who attended the colourful event.
Others are Lawyer Joyce Bawa Mogtari, a special aide to former president John Mahama, former regional executives and several constituency youth organizers as well as hundreds of party loyalists and sympathizers.
