The convoy of Ghana’s Second Lady, Samira Bawumia, has been involved in a deadly accident in the Ashanti region.
The accident which happened on late Saturday has left one person in her entourage dead.
Multiple sources say the deceased was one of her security details.
Mrs. Samira Bawumia is in the stronghold of the governing New Patriotic Party, among others, canvassing for votes for her husband, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, who has been elected as the party’s presidential candidate.
The Second Lady is said to have escaped unhurt and doing well.
Her vehicle was narrowly missed by a commercial vehicle that ran into other cars in her convoy leading to that fatal accident.
