The Black Stars of Ghana arrived in Qatar for the 2022 World Cup on Friday, November 18 in style, rocking handwoven smocks (fugu), popular with the people in northern Ghana, with kente sash to match.
The Black Stars are in Group H which has Portugal, South Korea and Uruguay.
The senior national team will open their campaign at the world mundial with Portugal on Thursday, 24th November, 2022, at Stadium 974 (Rass Abou Aboud). This will be followed by another duel against old foes Uruguay; followed by their last group encounter against South Korea.
The Word Cup will start from 20 November to 18 December. 32 teams will compete across 64 matches in the 22nd edition of the game.
The Stars flew to Doha after thrashing Switzerland 2:0 in a friendly match on Thursday, November 17, 2022 at the Baniyas Club Stadium in Abu Dhabi – United Arab Emirates.
