Isaac Asiamah[/caption] Minister-designate for Youth and Sports, Isaac Asiamah, says his outfit is committed to drawing investors into the country through the establishment of a research centre. According to Isaac Asiamah, the absence of an established data on the contribution of sports to the country’s GDP does not auger well for the country. Taking his turn at the ministerial vetting Tuesday, he said the establishment of this research center will make sports in Ghana attractive which is expected to draw investors into the country and also create jobs for the youth. “Sports is no more described as leisure, but a discipline that can generate revenue for the country. I have tasked my team to start doing some research on sports and its contribution to Ghana’s GDP. This research will help us with the correct figures as well as open an avenue for job creation,” he stated. Isaac Asiamah intimated that his outfit will ensure the protection of investors and stakeholders who invest in the sector. “There are a lot of areas we need to look at together to make sports more lucrative. We will clamp down on ambush marketing, and make sure that investors are protected to get value for their money and investment”, he added By Grace Asare |3FM 92.7|3news.com]]>
