An entertainment pundit on Original Television’s EChat Show and Amansan Television Christian Entertainment Review, Mr Stephen Kobby Owusu has won the coveted Youth Media Personality of the Year award at this year’s Ghana Youth Excellence Awards.
He was acknowledged for his performance in the media landscape and contributions towards national development.
The awards was held on May 20 under the theme “The Ghanaian youth is relevant in national development and nation building”,
Organisers of the awards, Apex Africa Concept explained that this year’s event was to recognise the vital role of the youth and their contributions towards nation building, considering the trying times faced by the citizenry.
Receiving the Media Personality of the Year award, Mr Owusu, beaming with smiles and smartly suited in an African print, thanked the organisers for coming up with such an initiative to recognize roles played by the youth in various sectors of the economy.
According to him, such an award would help motivate the youth to put in their best and contribute positively towards national development.
Mr Owusu further thanked God for how far he had brought him in life after resigning from his accounting job to establish and manage his own Youtube channel known as OS TV Ghana a year and two months ago.
“It’s been a year and two months when I started OS TV after I resigned from my accounting job and God has shown me much grace by blessing me with an award. This is the doing of the Lord and we are inspired to serve the Lord and his people more and more”, he said.
Aside from being a pundit and managing his own Youtube channel, Mr Owusu who is also known as the Shishiishi Man, is the artiste manager of Minister Carl Clottey of the Carl Clottey Ministries where he oversees the planning and coordination of events, support his goals with corresponding action plans and timelines, and engages supporters and promotes for active publications and relevance.
Other categories included the Outstanding Youth of the Year, Youth Leader of the Year, Youth Politician of the Year, Youth Advocate/Activist of the Year, Youth Entrepreneur of the Year, Youth C.E.O of the Year, Community Development Youth of the Year.
