Dancehall artiste Shatta Wale caused massive traffic on some major social media platforms when he staged his much talked about ‘Faith Concert’ Saturday night.
The dancehall act staged the concert from his home in East Legon, Accra, and streamed it live to thousands of fans in Ghana and across the world who watched it on Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube.
For about an hour and a half, Shatta Wale, who built a stage purposely for the concert, treated viewers to back to back hit songs from his impressive music repertoire.
Backed by a live band, his concert garnered over 300,000 views across the various social media platforms.
Before the concert, Shatta Wale told MzGee in an interview on Showbiz 927 on 3FM that he spent close to half a million Ghana cedis for the concert.
Apart from getting some support from sponsors, he invested a lot in the live band instruments, cameras, etc, he said.
“Roughly I have wasted about GHS400,000 but I’m happy,” the ‘Mahama Paper hitmaker revealed.
Shatta Wale explained, “When I want to do something, I do it well. Me, I tell people that I love nice things, I love pretty things, things of a standard so when I want to do something I want to set that standard I want to be that pacesetter…” he said, indicating that he loved the feedback.
