Two goals from Naby Keita and Kwame Boahene ensured Asante kotoko eased into the semi-finals of the ongoing Ghana Football Association (GFA) Normalization Committee Special Tier Two competition after beating Berekum Arsenal by 2:1 at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium, Kumasi on Sunday.
Ebenezer Aboagye’s 34th minute goal was not enough for visiting Berekum Arsenal after Naby Keita opened the scoring in the 9th minute, as Kwame Boahene doubled the scores for the Porcupine Warriors to end an entertaining first half.
It was all kotoko affair in the early stages as Boahene and Gyamfi looked very dangerous for the Arsenal back line.
With his surging runs Gyamfi set up both goals for Kotoko to keep them on course to book final berth for the GFA NC Special Competitions, having already booked a semi-final game with arch rivals Accra Hearts of Oak in the Tier one of the NC competition, at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday, June 16.
Meanwhile Ashanti Gold has also booked a place in the semi-final against regional rivals Kumasi Asante Kotoko at the Obuasi Len Clay stadium after beating Medeama. Source: GNA | Ghana]]>
