The National Chief Imam, Dr. Sheikh Osman Nuhu Sharubutu, has warned the General Overseer of the Glorious Word Power Ministries International, Reverend Isaac Owusu Bempah, to refrain from using his name as a subject of controversial prophecies.
The National Chief Imam is, therefore, calling on the Christian fraternity, the Inspector-General of Police (IGP), the National Security and, indeed, all relevant stakeholders to call Rev Owusu Bempah to order “in the interest of national unity, peace and harmony”.
This comes in the wake of a pronouncement by the self-acclaimed prophet that some leaders including His Eminence Sheikh Sharubutu have consulted him to look into their destinies.
Describing this as false, the Personal Assistant to the National Chief Imam, Dr Mohammed Azindoo, also rejected claims that Rev Owusu Bempah was recently in the bedroom of His Eminence.
“We wish to state that all the claims of Rev. Isaac Owusu Bempah contain no iota of truth, but represent the figment of his own imagination,” a press statement dated Wednesday, January 4, noted.
“Undoubtedly, His Eminence is a champion of interfaith harmony and peaceful coexistence. But he does not seek protection and prosperity from charlatans on the pulpit.”
“Conclusively, we stand – at all times – for interfaith solidarity and national unity, as we contribute our quota to the building of a prosperous democratic state of diverse religious communities.”
The statement warns the man of God to refrain from such acts.
Rev Owusu Bempah on 31st December released a number of prophecies some of which concerned national security.
This came after a caution from the Ghana Police Service to all churches over 31st Night prophecies.
