Paul Pogba has completed a cut-price transfer… for his new £2.9million Cheshire home. The Manchester United midfielder has secured himself a new base within a 20-minute drive of the club’s training ground – and at £600,000 under the asking price. The five-bedroom property boasts luxuries including a heated indoor swimming pool, saunas, and his own media room and was on the market for £3.49m.
Pogba, who earns £290,000 per week, saved himself a little over a fortnights-worth of the wages he has been earning since returning to Old Trafford in an £89m move from Juventus last summer. The secluded, security-gated property, in one of the north west’s most affluent neighbourhoods, is believed to be a former home of ex-United striker Javier Hernandez – now of Bayer Leverkusen and his sister Ana. Other notable past residents of the village include retired goalkeeper Richard Wright, who last played for United’s rivals Manchester City, and fellow Frenchman Olivier Kapo, once of Wigan Athletic. Just a 20-minute drive from United’s Aon Training Complex in Carrington, it boasts a tailor-made kitchen, giants hedges to protect the 23-year-old’s privacy, and a leisure suite complete with pool table. There’s also a balcony and a double garage to house the midfielder’s top-of-the-range cars. After returning from Turin, Pogba initially moved into Manchester’s luxury Lowry Hotel, where he could count manager Jose Mourinho among his ‘neighbours’. The 23-year-old played the full 90 minutes of United’s 3-0 win at Leicester City on Sunday, playing alongside Ander Herrera in midfield as the visitors dominated the champions. Source: Mail Oline ]]>
