Anita Aidoo[/caption] She dropped out in her second year at senior high school because of financial difficulties but never gave up and today, Miss Anita Aidoo, 30 holds a first class honours in Diploma of basic Education. To ensure her dreams of going as far as she could go on the Educational ladder was actualised, she got herself some menial jobs doing at home including selling of phone cards after dropping out of school in her second year at Fijai Senior High school in 2004. She painstakingly managed the meagre income and saved just a little by day. She started learning by herself at home and eventually registered as a private science candidate to write the WASSCE She passed all her subjects with the worse being a D. Still with nobody to assist her further her Education, she struggled to get an appointment as a pupil’s teacher in a public basic School at Ahuntumano in the Ahanta West District, Western Region. Clinging unto her firm and unflinching resolution to climb the academic ladder, she saved part of her meagre salary and enrolled at Enchi College of Education in the Western Region to train as a professional Teacher amidst numerous harrowing experience even on campus. “I gained my admission very late so when I reported, the whole place was full so I had to sleep in one of the classrooms for the rest of the semester”, Anita Aidoo recounted to Nhyiraba Paa Kwesi Simpson on Omanbapa Morning show on Connect FM. She graduated on Saturday, June 23, 2018 as the only lady amongst the six first class students. Miss Anita who is still not satisfied has already secured herself an admission forms to pursue her degree very soon. She mentions hardwork and determination as her trump card and advises the youth to cultivate a never giving up spirit if they want to succeed in life.
