Barely a day after returning from a two-week medical leave in the United Kingdom, the Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia is back behind his desk.
He touched down at the Kotoka International Airport on Thursday evening to a rousing welcome by a government delegation led by the President, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.
In the company of the wife, the Vice President was flown to the United Kingdom on the advice of his doctors after he was taken ill.
In a Facebook post on Friday, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia expressed appreciation to Ghanaians for their unflinching support whilst on sick leave.

Although President Akufo-Addo has left Ghana for Senegal for the Global Summit on Education, many thought Dr. Bawumia would have taken a breather.
He however announced that he is back on duty.
“I have resumed work today, Friday, 2nd February 2018, to continue with President Akufo-Addo’s dream of helping build a prosperous Ghana,” Dr. Bawumia said in the post.
