He was addressing members of the church’s executive council who called on the former president to officially inform him about the death of Rev. Dr. Simon Bamalong Asore, a former council of state member during his regime. Expressing his condolence, the former president wanted the church to do more in clearing the system of charlatans calling themselves prophets as the late reverend minister championed. “He was a very calm and humble man. I remember him and his spectacles. My condolence to the church, wife and children. This is indeed a big challenge for you. He fought a good fight those days I remember how he was actively involved in ensuring that there was sanity in the Christendom in Ghana. Now the baton has been handed to you behind”. Rev.
