Ken Ashigbey[/caption] Former Managing Director of the Graphic Communications Group, Ken Ashigbey has for the first time spoken publicly on reasons why he resigned from the Graphic Group. Asked if he was pushed out, Mr Ashibey in an exclusive interview with Paa kwesi Asare on TV3’s Business Focus said he left on his own due to potential conflict of interest situation which he felt was not proper. Mr Ashigbey who is now the CEO of the Telecoms Chamber resigned from the state-owned media giant in 2016 shortly after the NPP took over power from the NDC. “I resigned because of some corporate governance issues, one of my staff was appointed to the NMC (National Media Commission) board and I felt it was not right. He was my boss as in working with the National Media Commission, and in another sense worked for me as head of newspaper and I thought it was wrong and my board agreed with me.” Mr Ashigbey said they wrote to the NMC to point out the potential conflict of interest, but the NMC said the appointment was made by another person and cannot do anything about it.
