NDC has been sabotaging Kwadwo Adu Asare – Spokesperson

Kwadwo Adu Asare

Kwadwo Adu Asare[/caption] John Delasi Bonuedi , spokesperson of Kwadwo Adu Asare says the former MP for Adenta who contested for the position of the deputy general secretary of the National Democratic Congress and lost was sabotaged by some members of the party. “There are some individuals who want to sabotage kwadwo Adu Asare” he said explaining why his boss missed out on the slot. He made this claim while speaking on 3FM’s Sunrise morning show following the mix up of the name of the candidate. Though his picture was on the ballot paper, his name was replaced with someone who was not contesting the election. According to John Bonuedi, Kwadwo Adu Asare only realized his name has been changed on the ballot paper when the voting started. He said they alerted the executives of the party concerning the issue, but were told nothing could be done about it since the voting had already began. “When the voting started was when we were alerted that the name on the ballot paper has been spelt wrongly, we followed our complaints with a petition and put our protest in witting and the executives pleaded with us to have patience but eventually nothing was done about it,” he lamented. The spokesperson claimed this is not the first person his boss has been given a raw deal. He alleged that Kwadwo Adu Asare’s results were swapped for George Lawson in the party’s last congress in 2014 when they realized Kwadwo Asare had won. According to him, the then executives of the party knew about the issue and pleaded with the candidate to withdraw the case from court since it was coming on the back of the landmark election petition case where the NDC was accused of rigging the 2012 elections. He said since the party has failed to address the issue, Adu Asare has not ruled out going to court. By Portia Gafah|3news.com|Ghana]]>
