Olila Foundation strengthens education in Nkwanta South with textbook donation

The Olila Foundation has reinforced its commitment to education in the Oti Region with a major donation of textbooks to selected schools and the Nkwanta South District Education Office.

The initiative, spearheaded by the Foundation’s Chief Executive Officer, Ms. Abigail Olila Amoah, forms part of its broader mission to support literacy and bridge the resource gap in underserved communities.

During the donation exercise, the Foundation distributed textbooks to schools in Nkwanta, Tutukpene, Kecheibi, Odumase, Koranteng, and Chaiso. Teachers, pupils, community leaders, and education officials gathered to receive the materials, expressing deep appreciation for the support.

The Nkwanta South District Education Office described the gesture as a practical step toward enhancing teaching and learning outcomes in the area. Officials pledged to ensure the books are used effectively to improve academic performance among pupils.

Ms. Amoah noted that the Olila Foundation was established to drive sustainable development through education, youth empowerment, and social impact projects. She emphasized that the donation was only the beginning of a series of interventions planned for schools in the Oti Region.

“Our goal is to make sure no child is left behind because of a lack of learning resources. Education is the foundation of national progress, and the Olila Foundation is committed to being a partner in shaping Ghana’s future,” Ms. Amoah stated.

Parents and community members welcomed the Foundation’s intervention, describing it as timely, given the pressing need for educational resources in rural schools.

The textbooks were part of an award package received by Ms. Amoah in recognition of her social impact work. By channeling the resources through her Foundation, she ensured the benefits reached a wider section of the community.

With this project, the Olila Foundation has positioned itself as a credible development partner in the Oti Region, working hand in hand with schools, local authorities, and communities to invest in the next generation.

who would your most humble servant be?

At a time when power is flaunted more than it is earned, we rise with a different call: #TumiNniSuban—Power without character is nothing. We are done with leaders who wear authority like a costume but lack the soul to serve. Leadership must reflect the people’s dignity, not diminish it. So we ask If elections were held today, who would your most humble servant be?
