Sarkodie is dissing me when people are dying, I’m disappointed – Shatta Wale

November 11, 2022
Reading Time: 2 mins read

Dancehall artiste Shata Wale is very disappointed in rapper Sarkodie for releasing a diss song at this time targeted at him.

Shatta Wale believes that as the world is currently battling the deadly Coronavirus (COVID-19), the time is simply not ripe for beefs.

The controversial dancehall act was reacting to a diss song – Sub Zero – released by Sarkodie Monday. Some alleged that the song is directed at a number of people including Shatta Wale.

Reacting to the song in an interview on TV3 New Day with MzGee, Shatta Wale said he is disappointed.

“Sarkodie is talking about beef and the industry is happy. I’m disappointed, I thought you were going to tell me he’s donated some few things to some needy people but if Sarkodie has really thrown a shot at me in this time of our life where people are dying when people need help…,” he said.

The ‘My Level’ hitmaker noted that, “If it was me, they will tell me I need attention at this time…my brand has never gone down…”

He was of the view that seniors in society prefer highlife to rap. “…so rap is not even going to stand strong.”

“That is why sometimes [when] people like Sarkodie do this at this time, I blame Reggie Rockstone for even bringing rap to Ghana because he himself he has not made an impact with rap,” Shatta Wale further jabbed.

“So if you tell me Sarkodie has thrown a shot at me when people are dying what is he trying to say? Can’t he wait? Can’t he let us plan a beef,” the dancehall act quizzed and stressed that because artistes don’t plan beefs, they don’t make money.

who would your most humble servant be?

At a time when power is flaunted more than it is earned, we rise with a different call: #TumiNniSuban—Power without character is nothing. We are done with leaders who wear authority like a costume but lack the soul to serve. Leadership must reflect the people’s dignity, not diminish it. So we ask If elections were held today, who would your most humble servant be?
