Madam Rosemond Nutifafa Adanuti addressing the gathering[/caption] The Asuogyaman area of Compassion International has observed the International Youth Day with a conference for its over three thousand beneficiary children and young adults. Speaking on the theme, “Safe Space for the Youth”, Madam Rosemond Nutifafa Adanuti, the guest speaker, who is a presbyter in The Church of Pentecost, and a teacher and counsellor in the Ghana Education Service (GES), urged parents to protect children against all forms of abuse, including rape and defilement. She added, “God has deposited many interesting abilities and talents in these children that we are seeing here today. Let us work to preserve and to have them manifest well those useful interests that they have for the benefit of all of us and our societies.” Mr. Anthony Kwaku Amoah, a public relations officer of GES, who was a guest, lauded organisations, parents and benevolent individuals for their support to the GES and urged them to continue to partner the Service to provide quality education to all Ghanaian children and youth. Reverend Justine Adzakodzo, who was the chairperson, advised the children, youth and participants at the conference to allow the fear of God to influence their actions towards one another and towards education and within their families and societies.
