GES interdicts headmistress of West Africa SHS

The Ghana Education Service (GES) has interdicted the Headmistress of West African Senior High School (WASS), Dr Shine Agartha Ofori, over allegations of unauthorised money collection from students.

In a July 19, press release, GES stated that Dr Ofori was been directed to hand over the administration of the school to the Greater Accra Regional Director of Education while the matter is being investigated.

This interdiction will remain in effect until the final determination of the case by the GES management.

The press release, signed by GES Head of the Public Relations Unit, Cassandra Twum Ampofo, outlines the seriousness with which the matter is being treated.

It further emphasised the commitment of the service to ensuring the integrity and transparency of the education system in the country.
