NPP’s Abronye DC beaten to pulp

The Brong Ahafo Regional Youth Organiser of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP), Kwame Baffoe popularly known as Abronye DC has been  attacked and subjected to severe beatings by some NPP activists.

The incident happened at the private residence of the District Chief Executive of Atebubu-Amantin on Saturday.

Abronye DC who confirmed the incident to TV3’s Larry Paa Kwesi Moses said his attackers pushed him to the ground and used metal pole, usually used to hold dry lines, to pummel him in the presence of some party executives.

He was later rescued and rushed to the St Luke Hospital for medical attention.

Abronye DC named one Jaffa as the person who led the attack on him.

According to him, Jaffa had once threatened to kill him for accusing the Regional Minister Kwaku Asomah-Cheremeh of corruption and calling for his dismissal.

He recounted that he was in a meeting with some party executives as part of his campaign tour at Atebubu when the attackers stormed the venue and pounced on him.

The DCE for Atebubu-Amantin, Edward Owusu who also confirmed that the incident happened in his house told TV3 he was however out of town when Abronye DC was beaten.
